Tiburón's caddie program runs from November 1 thru April 30 each season. All play on the resort course from 7:30 am to 9:50 am includes a forecaddie. Having a caddie in your foursome makes for an enjoyable, relaxing, and memorable round of golf – fewer lost balls, fewer strokes, improved pace-of-play and all with an individual you will enjoy being around.
Forecaddie Responsibilities & Benefits
A forecaddie takes care of players riding in carts by:
- Providing general hole description and target line
- Spotting golf balls
- Providing yardages
- Maintaining the course (replacing/fixing divots, raking bunkers, fixing pitch marks)
- Attending the flagstick
- Offering green reads
- Ensuring no clubs are left behind
Of the Top 20 golf destinations in the United States, all but 2 offer or require caddies or forecaddies in some way shape or form. Of the Top 50, it's nearly 40, or roughly 80%. Fifteen years ago it was an exception. Today it is the standard. Plus, when done right, the caddie can have the greatest impact on not only the golf experience, but the overall experience.
